Baseball Recap: Charlotte Country Day School Takes a Loss

Charlotte Country Day School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Providence Day Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 8-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Charlotte Country Day School got a good showing from Dominic Ranalli, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ranalli has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Charlotte Country Day School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pierce Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Charlotte Country Day School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Providence Day, they moved to 6-10 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

While Charlotte Country Day School had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
