Preview: Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials vs. Wissahickon Trojans

Plymouth Whitemarsh is 9-0 against Wissahickon since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials will head out on the road to face off against the Wissahickon Trojans at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Plymouth Whitemarsh's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four games.

Last Thursday, Plymouth Whitemarsh got themselves on the board against Springfield Township, but Springfield Township never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Spartans 35-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Plymouth Whitemarsh, who have now won five games by 29 points or more so far this season.

Plymouth Whitemarsh relied on the efforts of Nazye Boggs, who rushed for 54 yards and three touchdowns, and Everett Baker, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

Meanwhile, everything went Wissahickon's way against William Tennent on Friday as Wissahickon made off with a 35-14 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wissahickon.

Wissahickon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Nolan Pounds, who threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns, and Quasir Sampson, who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Their wins bumped Plymouth Whitemarsh to 6-1 and Wissahickon to 6-2.

We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Plymouth Whitemarsh has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 390.4 total yards per game. However, it's not like Wissahickon struggles in that department as they've been even better at 414.2 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.

Everything came up roses for Plymouth Whitemarsh against Wissahickon in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 56-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plymouth Whitemarsh since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
