Basketball Recap: V.B. Glencoe Charter Takes a Loss

V.B. Glencoe Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 98-23 loss at the hands of the Reeves Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Raiders are ranked 134th).

Despite the defeat, V.B. Glencoe Charter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyson Bordelon posted 11 points.

It was another big night for Carter Guillory, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 boards for Reeves. The game was Guillory's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Fondon, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

V.B. Glencoe Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Reeves, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.

V.B. Glencoe Charter has already played their next match (against Berwick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Reeves has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against V.B. Glencoe Charter.
