The Palos Verdes Sea Kings and the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Palos Verdes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Palos Verdes is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Legacy, posting an 87-25 win. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Tigers are ranked 1098th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Granada Hills Charter wrapped up 2024 with a 66-50 victory over San Pedro.

Granada Hills Charter's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Palos Verdes, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Palos Verdes came up short against Granada Hills Charter in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, falling 59-55. Can Palos Verdes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
