Basketball Recap: KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Takes a Loss

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate lost against Lovett back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors lost to the Lovett Lions on the road by a 54-36 margin. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lovett found their leader in freshman Riley Gallagher, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gallagher has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ella Turner, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Lovett, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate has already played their next matchup, a 45-44 win against Carver on the 16th. As for Lovett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 32-31 victory against Hapeville Charter on the 17th.
