Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Mirage vs. Shadow Hills

Rancho Mirage is 0-10 against Shadow Hills since January of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Rancho Mirage Rattlers will head out on the road to square off against the Shadow Hills Knights at 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rancho Mirage's offense. They lost 5-0 to La Quinta on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 780th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 275th).

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Shadow Hills ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Palm Desert 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

Raelyn Seacrist and Samantha Cruz scored both of Shadow Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Rancho Mirage's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Shadow Hills, they pushed their record up to 9-4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Rancho Mirage suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Shadow Hills in their previous meeting on January 15th. Can Rancho Mirage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
