Football Recap: Bunn Wildcats vs. Rocky Mount Gryphons

Bunn lost against Rocky Mount back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bunn Wildcats had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Rocky Mount Gryphons. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lonnie Reid threw for 77 yards on six of nine attempts. Cj Kearney was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards. On the ground, Tyler Perry rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Rocky Mount's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ty?Lik Harrell, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Isaiah Silver was another key back, rushing for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

Bunn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Rocky Mount, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bunn's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Northern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
