Montgomery gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix with a sharp 11-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Montgomery also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Ava Hartman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Hartman was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and a stolen base.
