Softball Recap: Hancock Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hancock and Lake Linden-Hubbell meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Lakes by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lake Linden-Hubbell, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lake Linden-Hubbell beat Hancock by a score of 9-7 later that day.
