Game recap: Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School Football Team beats West Bend-Mallard

MARCUS, Iowa - the Eagles had a big 29-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 49-6 victory over West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, Iowa).

Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown run, a passing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the quarter.

After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, MMC led 29-6 at the half.

The Marcus school expanded its lead to 36 points entering the fourth quarter. The Eagles scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.

With the win Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn extended its winning streak to 10 games. MMC defeated the Panthers 53-0 last week.



The Wolverines' lone touchdown came on a 4-yard run in the second quarter.

Coming into the game the Eagles had allowed 21.1 points per game this year.
