Football Recap: Mission College Prep Starts Season with Victory Against Oxnard + How To Watch

Mission College Prep took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Oxnard Yellowjackets 22-19.

Mission College Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joe Villa and Clive Davidge.

Despite the defeat, Oxnard saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aaron Salazar rushed for 124 yards and a pair of TDs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission College Prep will square off against Bishop Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oxnard, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
