Baseball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short

If Durango was riding high fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Aztec last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Durango fell just short of the Farmington Scorpions by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Demons were not able to make up for their loss to the Scorpions from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Durango's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Durango will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Montezuma-Cortez at 3:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Farmington, they will venture away from home to face off against Albuquerque at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
