Softball Recap: Oak Hill Comes Up Short

Oak Hill had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 14-14 to make it four. They lost 18-3 to the Stanley Panthers. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Jodie Jowers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Madee Danzy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

As for Stanley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. Considering they have won 18 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Stanley's side, Aynslee Hebert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Hebert was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Lexi Greene and Whitney Hebert did most of the damage at the plate: Greene went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs, while Whitney went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Greene has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hana Bourque, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Stanley beat Oak Hill by a score of 18-3 on Wednesday.
