Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Legacy

The Centennial Eagles will take on the Legacy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Centennial managed to keep up with Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Centennial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November of 2025, Legacy was forced to settle for a draw on Monday. Neither they nor Somerset College Prep Academy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Legacy's draw gives them a new season record of 5-7-2. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-2.

Everything went Centennial's way against Legacy when the teams last played back in November of 2025, as Centennial made off with a 4-1 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
