Volleyball Recap: Manila Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Manila was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the St. Joseph Jayhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jayhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Sophie Yates was a one-woman wrecking crew For St. Joseph. as she had 27 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Yates has posted since back in September.

Manila's record now sits at 6-14. As for St. Joseph, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Manila wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Rich on the 18th. As for St. Joseph, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Altamont on the 17th.
