Kalama had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the King's Knights on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Chinooks, who have now won five contests in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 14-25, 25-19.

Emily Capen paced Kalama's offense, picking up 16 kills. Capen got some help from Jacey Hutchinson and her 38 assists. Finally, Lydia Mcbroom kept Kalama's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Kalama's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for King's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-12.

Looking ahead, Kalama will challenge Chelan at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. King's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
