Volleyball Game Preview: Ash Grove Pirates vs. Sarcoxie Bears

The Ash Grove Pirates will take on the Sarcoxie Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

On Thursday, Ash Grove came up short against Miller and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-28, 25-11, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Sarcoxie also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to El Dorado Springs by a score of 2-0.

While Sarcoxie ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

Sarcoxie's loss dropped their record down to 6-14-3. As for Ash Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1.

Ash Grove skirted past Sarcoxie 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
