After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenwood, Center Grove was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the Franklin Central Flashes 60-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since January 11th.

Center Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zavier Laney led the charge by going 7-for-11 to rack up 22 points and six rebounds. Braden Goodpaster was another key player, putting up 12 points and six boards.

Franklin Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Parham, who shot 42% from the field en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Raymond Hayes, who posted ten points and five assists.

The win got Center Grove back to even at 1-1. As for Franklin Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Center Grove has already played their next game, a 45-40 victory against Franklin Community on the 2nd. As for Franklin Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-63 defeat against Lawrence Central on the 2nd.
