Softball Recap: Cedar Takes a Loss

Cedar has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.48 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Desert Hills Thunder, falling 20-2. The Reds haven't had much luck with the Thunder recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cedar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Blackner, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cedar's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Desert Hills, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1.

Coming up, Cedar will welcome Snow Canyon at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Reds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Desert Hills, they will take on Emery in a tournament on Saturday. The Thunder will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
