Briarwood Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the American Christian Academy Patriots, posting a 67-39 victory.

Despite the loss, American Christian Academy had strong showings from Salls Williams, who posted eight points and nine boards, and Cooper James, who earned three points and eight rebounds.

Looking ahead, Briarwood Christian will head out on the road to challenge Springville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for American Christian Academy, they will welcome Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
