Softball Recap: Whiteford Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Whiteford dropped their record down to 3-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They came up short against the Woodhaven Warriors, falling 15-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Bobcats were not able to get on the board.

As for Woodhaven, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Woodhaven's part, Natilee Pridemore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pridemore has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Ariel Krueger was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Bartos, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Looking ahead, Whiteford will square off against Whitmer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodhaven, they will take on Trenton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
