Softball Game Preview: St. Clairsville Red Devils vs. East Liverpool Potters

St. Clairsville is on a 20-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and East Liverpool a ten-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The St. Clairsville Red Devils will host the East Liverpool Potters at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Buckeye Local hit St. Clairsville with a four-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since March 29th.

Meanwhile, East Liverpool didn't have quite enough to beat Chaney on Monday and fell 8-7.

Lana Le was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs. Kylee Evans was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

St. Clairsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for East Liverpool, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-22.
