Gilroy has won three straight games at home, while Saint Francis has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Mustangs will welcome the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Gilroy 1.4, Saint Francis 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Saturday, Gilroy made easy work of Christopher and carried off a 14-5 win. Considering the Mustangs have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Gilroy got a massive performance out of Ariela Yslava, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Yslava a new career-high. Christy Haro was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Gilroy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christopher only posted a batting average of .240.
Meanwhile, Saint Francis narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Archbishop Mitty 3-1. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Mercedes Coller looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Peyton Tsao was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Gilroy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Saint Francis, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Gilroy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Saint Francis struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Gilroy couldn't quite get it done against Saint Francis in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Will the Mustangs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
