Lancaster won the last time they faced Mesquite and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Skeeters by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Ca'Nyah Lewis paced Lancaster's offense, picking up seven kills. Lewis got some help from Cydnee Patt and her 16 assists. Lewis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Mesquite, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Lancaster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Kennedale on the 16th. As for Mesquite, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Everman at 6:30 p.m. on September 5.
