Volleyball Recap: Ash Grove Takes a Loss

Ash Grove extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 10-13-1. They fell 2-0 to the Fordland Eagles. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Bristol Lathrop paced Ash Grove's offense, picking up five kills. Lathrop got some help from Millie Willmon and her four assists.

As for Fordland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. The game was the first time they have beaten Ash Grove on their court since October 15, 2022.

Fordland can attribute much of their success to Jessica Baughman, who had eight digs.

Ash Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Sparta on the 18th. As for Fordland, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Lesterville on the 18th.
