Basketball Recap: Newport Comes Up Short

The Newport Greyhounds took a blow against the Quitman Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 64-19. The game marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Newport has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for Quitman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 26-0.

Newport will take on Lisa Academy North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quitman, they will square off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
