Recap: Robertson Cardinals vs. Portales Rams
The Robertson Cardinals lost against the Portales Rams back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. 2024 welcomed Robertson with a 55-30 loss courtesy of Portales. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Robertson has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Robertson saw an underclassman step up: Arianna Martinez scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lovely Allemand, who scored two points along with four steals.
Robertson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Portales, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Robertson and Pojoaque Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pojoaque Valley is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Portales and Alamogordo will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
