Softball Recap: Riverview Comes Up Short

Riverview fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Allen Park on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 14-10 to the Jaguars. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Pirates, who until this matchup were averaging four runs allowed.

Sienna Logan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Logan, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Riverview and nudges their season record down to 21-6-1. As for Allen Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Riverview beat Allen Park by a score of 6-5 later that day.
