Baseball Recap: Aquilla Has No Trouble Against Bland

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hillsboro, Aquilla was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Bland Tigers 9-0.

Tracen Beheler made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Beheler was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Connor Dunlap was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Andrew Snipes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

The win got Aquilla back to even at 1-1. As for Bland, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Aquilla will face off against Valley Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bland, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against S & S Consolidated at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
