Baseball Recap: Dickinson Has No Trouble Against Snyder

Dickinson won against Snyder on Monday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Rams put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 14-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Ricardo Hernandez made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Hernandez was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Dickinson is 2-1 when Hernandez posts one or more home runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, Dickinson let Ziggy Puchowski and Rayner Garcia run wild. Puchowski got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Garcia got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Puchowski has become a key player for Dickinson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-12 otherwise. Christopher Aroco was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Dickinson's record now sits at 5-12. As for Snyder, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dickinson will welcome Linden at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Snyder, they will be playing at home against Kearny at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
