Basketball Game Preview: Eads Eagles vs. Prairie Mustangs

The Eads Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Prairie Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eads is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

On Friday, Eads made easy work of Granada and carried off a 49-26 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Eads' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anna Wollert, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and three blocks. Wollert is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tailee Weeks-Johnson, who had 11 points and three steals.

Eads smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 14 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 29-29 at halftime, Prairie was not quite Briggsdale's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell 46-37 to the Falcons.

Eads' win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
