Recap: San Manuel Miners vs. Desert Christian Eagles

After a string of four wins, San Manuel's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 7-1 walloping at the hands of the Desert Christian Eagles. San Manuel was red-hot at the plate headed into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior) but Desert Christian's pitchers proved too tough.

Tanner Decker was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up two earned runs off only two hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Decker was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with a stolen base.

Like San Manuel, Desert Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Bennett Vondrak. Vondrak was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
