Volleyball Recap: Haven Wildcats vs. Minneapolis Lions
Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Minneapolis Lions. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Haven was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17.
Avery Brawner paced Haven's offense, picking up eight kills. Brawner got some help from Hadley Idacavage and her 11 assists. Paige O'Neil controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Haven now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Minneapolis, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season.
Haven didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chapman on the 11th. As for Minneapolis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Rock Creek on the 11th.
