Recap: Orange Panthers vs. Eastern Alamance Eagles
If the Orange Panthers were feeling good off their 59-36 takedown of the Reidsville Rams last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Orange suffered a tough 66-42 defeat at the hands of Eastern Alamance on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Orange has suffered yet this season.
When it comes to explaining why Orange lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evelyn George. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Stephens, who scored seven points along with four blocks.
Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Eastern Alamance, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Western Alamance the next time they take the court. Orange will head out to face Western Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Eastern Alamance will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
