Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Classical Christian Takes a Loss

Holy Trinity Classical Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 48-37 to the Beaufort Academy Eagles. The Mighty Lions lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 74-36 score last time.

Devin Fripp was the offensive standout of the game as he went 7 for 17 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Paulk, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 13 points.

Holy Trinity Classical Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Beaufort Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Andrew Jackson Academy the next time they take the court. Beaufort Academy will head out to face Andrew Jackson Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Holy Trinity Classical Christian will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
