Volleyball Recap: Franklin Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Columbia Academy on Tuesday, Franklin Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the Spring Hill Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Franklin Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Franklin Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tatum Beathard had 15 digs and five assists.

Franklin Christian Academy's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Spring Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.

Franklin Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Providence Christian Academy on the 29th. As for Spring Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Forrest on the 25th.
