Basketball Recap: Heaven Watson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Indiana School for the Deaf

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Liberty Christian on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers by a score of 57-44. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Liberty Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Heaven Watson out in front who posted 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Watson has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Serenity Conyers was another key player, putting up 23 points.

Liberty Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indiana School for the Deaf only pulled down 13 offensive rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Indiana School for the Deaf lost, don't look at Jaiden Moses. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 boards. That was a full 38.6% of Indiana School for the Deaf's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Leokadia Saunders, who scored 11 points and seven rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Liberty Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
