Softball Recap: Franklin Central Purple Devils vs. Stamford Central Indians        
        
		
            
 Franklin Central had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Stamford Central Indians 19-3. Franklin Central's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Irene Cox was  incredible,  going 2-for-2 with four  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run.  Maddie Hyzer was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Franklin Central's victory  ended  a  nine-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-7. As for Stamford Central, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with that  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Franklin Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stamford Central, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Hunter-Tannersville at 4:15  p.m.
