Basketball Recap: Valley Head Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Valley Head can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Oakwood Academy Mustangs and fell 115-57. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Oakwood Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Nesbitt out in front who went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points and four steals. What's more, Nesbitt also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Morton, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Valley Head's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Oakwood Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-8.

Valley Head does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakwood Academy, they have already played their next match, a 48-45 win against Skyline on the 5th.
