Softball Recap: Padua Franciscan Comes Up Short

Padua Franciscan and Archbishop Hoban squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Padua Franciscan had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Padua Franciscan moved to 11-14 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Archbishop Hoban, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

While Padua Franciscan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
