Baseball Recap: Pocahontas Beats Bishop Garrigan for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Pocahontas waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Bears, too.

Pocahontas' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bishop Garrigan, they moved to 8-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Pocahontas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 win against Sioux Central on the 20th. As for Bishop Garrigan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Lake Mills on the 20th.
