Basketball Recap: Meeteetse Comes Up Short

Meeteetse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Burlington Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-5 back in January.

Meeteetse's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Burlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Meeteetse will challenge Cody at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Burlington, they will head out to face off against St. Stephens at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
