Football Recap: Maynard Tigers vs. Oxford Pirates
Maynard proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 22) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Oxford Pirates 15-14.
When it comes to explaining why Oxford lost, don't look at Jack Grenier. Despite the final result, he rushed for 96 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.
Maynard's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Oxford, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
