Softball Recap: Lone Tree Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hillcrest Academy on Tuesday, Lone Tree came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the West Burlington Falcons on Thursday, falling 8-2. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lone Tree's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for West Burlington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Lone Tree has already played their next contest (against Winfield-Mt. Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West Burlington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-2 victory against New London on the 13th.
