Softball Recap: Badin Triumphs

Badin won the last time they faced Chaminade Julienne Catholic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Rams came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Lily Braun looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Avery Snyder was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily Albrinck, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Badin's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5.

Coming up, Badin will head out to square off against Roger Bacon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, they will welcome Bishop Fenwick at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
