Basketball Recap: Warren County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Warren County can now relate to. They were dealt a 73-41 loss at the hands of the Southern Wake Academy Lions on Friday. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.

Warren County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Southern Wake Academy, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 26-4.

Warren County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Wake Academy, they will square off against Chatham Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Wake Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Chatham Central likes a good challenge.
