Recap: White County Warriors vs. Monterey Wildcats

While White County couldn't quite beat Monterey on Monday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the six-point loss they were dealt last Friday. The White County Warriors fell just short of the Monterey Wildcats by a score of 6-4. White County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Monterey apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Madeline Rust made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Norvell, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

White County's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Monterey, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

As for Monterey, they will be playing at home against York Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
