Baseball Recap: Tri County Area Takes a Loss

Tri County Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-7 to the Grant Tigers. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Tri County Area got a good showing from Cross Sixbury, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Cole Plotts was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Amacher, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Tri County Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Grant, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tri County Area beat the Tigers by a score of 3-2 later that day.
