Soccer Game Preview: Bishop England vs. Hilton Head Island

For the first time this season, Bishop England will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They are taking a road trip to take on the Hilton Head Island Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. Bishop England's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bishop England is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: West Ashley, who was ranked fifth at the time (Bishop England was ranked 14th). Bishop England lost 6-1 to West Ashley on Tuesday. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Battling Bishops struggled afterwards.

Their goal came courtesy of Reese Woodard, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Glynn Academy who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Glynn Academy got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Hilton Head Island's two.

Bishop England's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hilton Head Island, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
