Belpre is a perfect 10-0 against Southern since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Tornadoes at 6:30 p.m. Southern took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Belpre, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Belpre turned things around against Eastern on Friday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 54-43. The win was all the more spectacular given the Golden Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Eagles are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Federal Hocking, falling 70-50.

Belpre's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Belpre strolled past Southern when the teams last played back in January by a score of 53-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
